NSW Transport Infrastructure Interview - Jeremy Goff

by Chuan S last modified Sep 22, 2010 10:56 AM

We had the chance to speak to Jeremy Goff, Executive Director, Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils who will be speaking at the 5th Annual NSW Transport Infrastructure Summit 2010 taking place on the 15th and 16th of November in Sydney.

1. In her election campaign Julia Gillard announced $2.1bn in federal funding for the Epping to Parramatta Rail Link. Can this commitment be seen as the first step in the right direction towards improved public transport services in Sydney?
2. What role will the delivery of public transport services play in successfully planning for sustainable population growth in Western Sydney?
3. What impact will the development of Parramatta into a second CBD have on relieving congestion in Sydney?
4. Are councils in Western Sydney consulted enough when it comes to long-term integrated transport planning? How could their contribution improve commitment to proposed transport projects?
5. The election of independent MPs has shifted power towards regional development. What impact will the new regional infrastructure fund actually have on regional areas?
6. You will be presenting at our 5th annual NSW Transport Infrastructure Summit. What can our delegates expect from your presentation?
