DP World crane upgrade to start at Fremantle

The first of four new cranes for DP World's Australian terminals was to arrive at the port of Fremantle this afternoon.
The $12.5m post-panamax crane will be deployed at DP World's North Quay container terminal following its arrival aboard the Zhen Hua 19 at about 1220 hrs.
Zhen Hua will be carrying three other such cranes for two other DP World terminals in preparation for calls of containerships carrying more than 5000 teu, heralded last week by the visit to eastern container ports of China Shipping's 5688 teu Xin Yan Tai.
Two of the cranes are bound for Sydney and the third for Adelaide.
