Spot rates for liquefied natural gas carriers have fallen to five-month lows following a lack of spot cargo sales this month.

Rates for LNG carriers operating in the Atlantic and southeast Asian trading regions have fallen to US$35,000 per day, from US$50,000 per day at the start of the year, a London-based broker said.
