NYK cites costs as reason to quit ELAA
Japan's NYK Line has resigned from the European Liner Affairs Association and is no longer providing statistics to the organisation which publishes industry-wide trade data.
NYK, which is thought to have given six months’ notice in mid-2009, cited costs as its reason to quit.
Both K Line and MOL left the ELAA a year ago because of concerns about potential breaches of European antitrust law.
