Consumer demand to lift agriculture industry

Australia's agriculture industry is poised for a "generally positive" year amid expectations the global economic landscape will improve and consumer demand will strengthen, a Rabobank report says.

The report predicted that the dairy, sheepmeat and sugar sectors would probably benefit most from the improvement in global conditions.

However, the outlook for beef, grain and wine were not as bright, the report said.
